Leo Margets signed by Lock Poker

Spanish pro becomes LockPRO’s first female player

Lock Poker released the news last week that Spaniard Leo Margets was to become the latest member of its LockPRO ELITE team.

This appointment makes Margets, who was previously sponsored by 888poker.com, the first female player to make the team, which includes other European pros such as Eric Lynch, Chris Moorman, Bryan Pellegrino and Casey Jarzabeck.

Margets first got the attention of executives when she was the last woman standing in the 2009 WSOP main event, coming 27th for $352,000 prize. Since then, she has amassed more than $640k in total career earnings.

Chief executive of Lock Poker Jennifer Larson stated enthusiastically that ‘Leo is a dream come true for Lock! She is brilliant, driven, incredibly talented and represents the brand perfectly.’

It can be assumed that Lock Poker is definitely in need of some good publicity, with the announcement coming shortly after a scandal broke out involving sponsored player Jose ‘girah’ Macedo. Lock Poker recently dropped Macedo when details of his participation in an elaborate scam came to the surface.
