PlayNow.com Again Making Online Casino Players Happy

It took a little over a month but the problems that were facing the B.C. Lottery Corp have been worked out in regards to their online casino, PlayNow.com. The site was re-launched over the weekend and players are again happy.

Back in July, British Columbia launched the online casino and created a mold for other provinces in Canada to follow, so they thought. It turns out that a security breach software problem arose just hours after launching, and the site was immediately shut down.

Players were disappointed as officials searched for answers. The software being used has been used at many other top online casinos, so the problem was detected and fixed within the next couple of weeks. An outside agency cleared the site.

Once cleared, the site was launched again and players have been thankful they can now enjoy the opportunity to play their favorite casino games online. The BCLC estimated that the province lost $150,000 a day in the thirty-four days the site was shut down.

“Whatever the problem was, I’m just glad it is corrected,” said Jill Becker. “My friends and I had been waiting a long time for a site like this, and it was sad when we had to wait another month. I’ve seen the site since it has been re-launched, and I can’t wait to play.”

One of the protection features that PlayNow.com has is a counter that shows gamblers how long they have been playing online. Gamblers also can see how much money they have wagered, another mandatory feature to keep B.C. residents from falling into the trap of gambling addiction.
